In order to promote a healthy lifestyle among students and further increase their interest in sports, mass sporting events and competitions are regularly organized.

  In particular, the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad,” which has been launched across the country, not only provides a platform for students to demonstrate their physical and intellectual potential, but also plays an important role in their holistic and well-rounded development.

  Today, the competitions of the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” officially started at Samarkand State Medical University.

  During the opening ceremony held at the university’s newly constructed sports ground, the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Jasur Rizayev, delivered a speech highlighting the strong attention given to youth sports in the country and the reforms being implemented in this field at the level of state policy.

  Following the opening ceremony, tree saplings were planted in the “Athletes’ Garden” established near the sports ground.

  After the official ceremony, basketball competitions among male and female students were launched.

  It should be noted that within the framework of the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad,” competitions in basketball, volleyball, handball, and football are being organized at a high level.
